Emotional Regulation:

Taming Tantrums

This talk covers the “why” behind tantrums and understanding all of the emotions that we feel, from both biological and behavioral aspects. It also provides management techniques for preventing and minimizing tantrums, and dealing with tantrums when they occur.

Autism Spectrum Disorder in the Preschool Classroom

This presentation helps preschool and daycare teachers and assistants to better understand atypical behaviors in the classroom, tips for addressing them, signs of Autism, and information on next steps and the evaluation process.

Early Childhood Developmental Milestones

This talk reviews typical milestones for ages 3-5 in a variety of areas. It also covers ways to promote growth in your child, when to be concerned for delays, and when testing or intervention may be needed.

Handling Behaviors: Understanding Punishment and Reinforcement

This talk covers practical ways to handle positive and negative behaviors through the use of punishment or reinforcement. It provides practical information on what techniques are most helpful in particular types of situations or for general behavioral development.

Classroom Observations

Classroom observations generally consist of a one-hour classroom visit, a brief written report, and a follow up consultation. Email admin@understandingarcher.com for more information. Observations can be done for the following purposes:

In coordination with parents, we are available to do a classroom observation and provide recommendations on ways to best support a student in the classroom.
